MIT Instructor Application Information

We are accepting technical instructor applications

Get paid to travel to Senegal, Colombia, or Nigeria to help students develop the next big mobile services appropriate for their region. AITI (Accelerating Information Technology Innovation), a collaboration between Google and MIT, is seeking computer science graduates to act as instructors and mentors at universities in emerging regions. Fluency in French is required for the program in Senegal, and fluency in Spanish is required for the program in Colombia.

Quick details:

  • 6 week programs run from mid-June through early August
  • Program locations: Colombia, Senegal, or Nigeria
  • Stipend amounts between $1500 and $5000 (depending on experience)
  • Airfare and housing is covered separately
  • Comfortable living conditions in-country
  • Time for travel and/or continuing to work on your research remotely

  • Hone your teaching and advising skills

We are looking for current MIT students or alum with object-oriented software development experience, good communication skills, and a sense of adventure. No prior mobile technologies or teaching experience necessary.
